Do you know about cold saponification?
This is the traditional method of making soaps, still used today by artisanal soap factories.
Slower and less polluting than hot saponification, this method relies on the natural chemical reaction of soda in contact with fatty substances (vegetable oils, shea butter), which then transforms into glycerin, while preserving intact the properties of the oils used in the mixture.
After several weeks of drying, we obtain ultra-soft and nourishing soaps for the skin!
Perfect for dry and fragile skin, cold saponified soaps offer the advantage of retaining all the virtues of the ingredients used in their manufacture.
